Acceptance of the terms
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of PayArith at payarith.com. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Eligibility and appropriate use
You may use PayArith if you can lawfully agree to these terms where you live. If you use the site for an organization, you are responsible for having authority to do so.
PayArith is designed for ordinary individual research, education, and planning. It is not intended for emergency decisions, payroll processing, regulated filings, legal compliance determinations, or use as the sole basis for a material financial or career decision.
Description of PayArith
PayArith provides educational calculators and guides covering salary, hourly and overtime pay, bonuses, commissions, benefits, retirement contributions, equity compensation, employee stock plans, relocation, employee-versus-contractor comparisons, and related career decisions.
The site transforms user-provided values and stated assumptions into estimates, comparisons, tables, charts, projections, and explanatory content. PayArith is not a payroll system, benefits platform, trading service, recruiting service, or recordkeeping system.
Educational purpose
All calculator outputs and guides are provided for general education and planning. Results are estimates, not verified statements of pay, value, tax, eligibility, legal status, or future performance.
A result may simplify or omit facts that matter in a real situation. Use it to understand assumptions and compare scenarios, then verify the decision with controlling documents, current sources, and qualified professionals where appropriate.
User inputs and assumptions
You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness of the values, dates, rates, classifications, plan rules, and assumptions you enter or select. Incorrect or incomplete inputs will produce incorrect or incomplete results.
You retain any rights you have in information you enter. Do not enter personal identifiers, confidential employer information you are not authorized to use, account credentials, or unnecessary sensitive information.
No professional relationship
PayArith is not your employer, recruiter, broker, financial adviser, investment adviser, tax adviser, accountant, lawyer, career counselor, payroll provider, or benefits administrator. Use of the site does not create an employment, agency, fiduciary, attorney-client, adviser-client, or other professional relationship.
Nothing on the site is individualized financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, benefits, payroll, or career advice.
Employer and plan documents control
Offer letters, compensation agreements, employment agreements, commission plans, equity award agreements, equity and employee stock purchase plan documents, benefit plan documents, payroll records, employer policies, and applicable law control over any PayArith estimate or explanation.
Employers and plan administrators may define compensation, eligibility, vesting, performance, crediting, valuation, withholding, repayment, termination, and payment timing differently from a calculator model. Resolve any conflict by using the controlling document or an authoritative determination—not the PayArith result.
Acceptable use
You may use the site normally, apply results for your own personal purposes, save or share links, and quote limited portions with appropriate context. You may not misuse the service.
- Do not interfere with the site, introduce malicious code, or impair its operation.
- Do not use automated requests or extraction in a way that creates harmful load or disrupts access for others.
- Do not bypass access controls, rate limits, security measures, or technical restrictions.
- Do not use the site or its content in violation of law or another person’s rights.
- Do not present PayArith materials as your own service, imply endorsement, or mass-copy and republish the site without permission.
Intellectual property
You retain rights in your own entered information. Subject to these terms, you may access and use the site and its outputs for ordinary personal purposes.
The PayArith name, site structure, original text, design, illustrations, and code are protected by applicable intellectual property and other laws. You may not mass-copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or republish protected site materials without permission, except as allowed by law.
PayArith does not claim ownership of public-domain materials, generally known mathematical formulas, official government data, or your own inputs. References to third-party names and materials remain subject to their respective rights.
Third-party sources and links
PayArith may cite or link to government publications and other external sources for context. A link does not mean that PayArith controls, endorses, or guarantees the source, and the source may change after it is cited.
External sites have their own terms, privacy practices, accessibility, and security. You are responsible for reviewing them before relying on or interacting with those services.
Availability and changes
PayArith may add, remove, correct, or update formulas, defaults, assumptions, features, calculators, guides, sources, and other content. An update may change the result produced by the same inputs.
The site may be interrupted, delayed, unavailable, or discontinued. Continuous, error-free, or permanent availability is not guaranteed, and you should not rely on PayArith as the only record of information needed for a decision.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by law, PayArith is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, or any specific employment, compensation, tax, investment, or career outcome.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, PayArith is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of or inability to use the site, or from reliance on a calculation, projection, guide, source, or external link.
PayArith does not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful. These terms do not remove rights that cannot legally be waived.
Indemnity for harmful misuse
If your deliberate misuse of PayArith violates these terms and directly causes a third-party claim against PayArith, you are responsible for the resulting reasonable costs and losses to the extent permitted by law. This does not apply to ordinary, good-faith use of the calculators and guides or to losses caused by PayArith’s own conduct.
Changes to the terms
These terms may be updated as the site or applicable requirements change. The revised terms and updated date will be posted on this page. Your continued use after an update means the revised terms apply to later use of the site.
Contact
PayArith does not currently publish a dedicated contact channel. If a contact method is added, it will be posted on payarith.com. Do not send confidential employer materials or sensitive personal information through an unverified channel.
